Old building

It's cool how Photoshop and some effects can turn an OK picture into a better picture. I took these pictures of my son over a year ago. I thought they might look nice with a color pop and some sunbeams. I love snapping pictures but its so dang fun to come home and edit them. Since I’ve retired, I’ve had more time to experiment with some new actions. I’m so blessed to have a mentor that taught me all these little tricks.  DOUBLE CLICK ON PICTURE. 

 

Feb 22 - Old Barn

These pictures that I took of this barn have a story behind it.  My brother-in-law asked his neighbor if I could have permission to take pictures of his barn.  Unfortunately it took me a long time to edit and print him a picture to thank him. When I was finished we took a drive over to my brother-in-law’s house to take his neighbor a blown up picture of his barn. That’s when I found out the man had died a week prior while riding his horse (from a riding accident). I felt so bad that I had waited too long to thank him.  I missed my chance.  I ended up giving the picture to his wife.  I hope it gives her happy memories of her of husband.  They told me he loved to spend time in this beautiful barn.  I can see why. It’s what I’m hoping heaven will look like, (if I make it).  :o )    So when people say to you, “Life is short” believe them and don’t wait to tell the people in your life how much they mean to you and thank them for being in your life.  So if you are reading this now, I say the same to you,  Thank you for being in my life.  Hope you enjoy your weekend.  And give your friends and family a big hug!!!!   Don’t miss your chance.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

   Here is a portion of a picture I took last year that reminded me of Valentine's Day. I cropped it because I have not gotten a model release from this couple. I keep forgetting to take it to them. But I'm wishing them... also a very Happy day! Back in the Old'en Days, we use to have a cartoon comic that was called "Love is". Anyone old enough to remember this? I use to draw them all the time and add my own words and pictures. Back then it usually had to do with a favorite pet, toy or something sweet to eat. I've changed a little over time and now realize what is more important. Now to me, "Love is" my family and friends and my faith. Wishing you all the best!

*** Happy Valentines Day ***
Wishing you all a very Happy Valentines Day.  Are any of you getting Spring Fever?  I know it's only February but I've had my fill of snow for this year.  Can't wait to start a garden or just sit outside and enjoy my morning Joe... aka, Coffee.  One of the things I fantasized about when I was contemplating on retiring.
